Price for moving services, created using this tool only covers services and items specifically described
by you.
If you request the mover to provide more sevices than those included in the contract, the mover will demand full payment for those added services at time of delivery.
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO DESCRIBE YOUR MOVE AND FACILITIES AS SPECIFIC AS POSSIBLE.
MOVING INVENTORY
. First fill out our complete moving inventory. This is easier to do when you had already packed or nearly so.
PACKING.
Decide if you need movers to pack your miscellaneous and fragile items for you. You will be asked to make a specific list of items to be packed. Just fill in quantities in the Packing form when asked. If you want movers to pack your items - please check "packing required" where appropriate, otherwise items will be moved unwrapped. All fragile and electronic items MUST be boxed. Improperly packed fragile items will not be accepted. All additional services and materials, that you did not mention in the original inventory and requested on the day of the move will be charged additionally. Please be very specific at what do you want movers to do.
FACILITIES
. Please describe your loading and unloading conditions where you are moving from and to, such as stairs, walk up, long distance carry etc. Please select appropriate options when asked. If you do not know - "Uknown", if the actual facilities will have a walk up or long carry distance(over 75 feet) - additional charges apply.
MOVE DATE AND TIME.
All flat rate moves can be scheduled no less than 72 hrs in advance. Once your request received - our dispatch will review it and e-mail or call you to schedule the actual move date and time. For local moves beginning in the NYC metropolitan area in we can be exactlly when you need us. For long distance jobs with pick up outside of the NYC area we might need a window of two-three days from the day requested by you.
CONFIRMATION.
After you finish completing the form you will see confirmation screen. Please carefully examine the inventory you have created, pick up and delivery address, packing request and all other information. You can edit and update it if necessary. When you check everything - click "SUBMIT" your account will be created and your password will be e-mailed to you.
PAYMENT
. When you receive your password, log in to your account fill out a deposit form and e-mail it (or print out anf fax to 718 625-7497). Sign your Inventory and Deposit form, enclose postal money order for 25% of the moving price and mail to: 253 BOND STREET, BROOKLYN, NY 11217. Please mark your envelope: "FLAT RATE DEPOSIT". This deposit is your prepayment for your move. If you decide to cancel your move in less than 72 hrs
- DEPOSIT IS NONREFUNDABLE. We must receive your prepayment BEFORE the move date. The balance should be paid in CASH to the movers BEFORE GOODS ARE UNLOADED from the truck. Once we receive your original order for service request Dispatcher will call you to clarify details of your order and confirm moving dates.
CHANGES TO THE CONTRACT:
Inventory and services changes: Once you create an account you will be able to make changes to your move as many times as you need. - new contract will be e-mailed to you every time you make a change. All previously dated agreements will be automatically voided. NO CHANGES will be accepted less than 72 hrs before your move date. FLAT RATE ONLINE MOVING CONTRACT
Terms and Conditions.
THIS WRITTEN BINDING ESTIMATE, ORDER FOR SERVICE, BILL OF LADING AND CONTRACT COVERS ONLY THE LOADING, TRANSPORTATION AND UNLOADING OF THE GOODS, SPECIFIED ON THE INVENTORY ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF, AND THE SERVICES SPECIFIED , IT IS OFFERED SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING PROVISIONS:
This Flat Rate contract may be revised by mutual agreement between the shipper and the mover any time on or before the day the shipment is loaded.
Contract total charges apply only for quantities and/or services or any part thereof set forth on the contract.The Binding contract total charges will not cover delays caused by any impediment to this move which are not caused by the mover.
Transportation is limited to the origin and destination and additional stops, if any, indicated on the service request description.
If at the time of the move the actual quantity (in cubic feet or constructive weight) of the goods to be moved varies by more than 10 per cent pf the quantity shown on the estimate, the binding estimate may be adjusted accordingly. The mover may submit an entirely new written binding estimate, or mover may chose to move shipment at full Tariff rate.
If at the time of the move the shipper request additional labor services from the mover that are not listed on the original contract, an adjustment will be made by the mover to reflect the hourly labor rate specified below:
Truck: $25 per truck per hour
Standard Labor ():$25 per man per hour
Overtime labor: ():$35 per man per hour
End of Month (from 28 of the month to 2 of the next month):$35 per man per hour.
If at the time of the move the shipper requests additional accessorial services that are not labor related and that are not listed on the original contract an adjustment will be made by the mover to the binding Contract to reflect the mover’s published tariff rate in effect at the time of the move for such accessorial service.
If shipper requests or requires additional accessorial quantities or services after loading, at destination which are not included and itemized on the binding contract, charges for such will be assessed at the mover’s tariff in effect at the time of loading. Estimated weight will be used for items assessed on a cwt. Basis. On prepaid shipments or on shipments when prior credit arrangements have not been previously established, the mover will collect at time of delivery, the applicable Tariff charges which shall be in addition to the binding estimate.
Any of the following services requested or required by the shipper after loading, and performed by the mover at destination which are not included in the binding contract, will be assessed at the mover’s Tariff level in effect at the time of loading. Estimated weight will be used for items assessed on a cwt basis.On prepaid shipments or on shipments when prior credit arrangements have not previously been established, the mover will collect at time of delivery, the applicable tariff charges which shall be in addition to the binding contract amount.

Storage-In-Transit and Warehouse Handling Charges
Service of Appliances
Pick up or Delivery Transportation rate on Storage In Transit shipments
Binding contract will apply ONLY WHEN THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS EXIST at both origin(s) and destination(s) for the entire duration of the move(s):
There must be adequate heat, light and power.
Mover must have the exclusive and uninterrupted use of the agreed upon number of elevators. Where required shipper shall supply competent elevator operator(s).
Adequate loading and unloading areas (platforms) must be made available to mover.Loading and Unloading areas (platforms) must be free and clear of trash, trash removal equipment, construction materials, other non-related furniture, or other similar obstructions.
Adequate parking area and any adjacent sidewalk area must be available. This binding contract will be invalid should the parking area and adjacent sidewalk area become unavailable for use due to construction work, a parade, or other similar obstruction, which did not exist, or was not anticipated, when the binding contract was executed.
Construction, renovation or decorating work must not be in such a state as to impede the move. This includes, but not limited to carpet laying, tiling, painting and carpentry work.
The doors, agreed upon prior to execution of binding estimate, to be used for loading and unloading must be available
The binding estimate will not cover delays caused by fire alarms, bomb scares, directions of governmental agencies, or their subdivisions, extreme weather conditions, trade union jurisdictional disputes, strikes or other similar unforeseen delays, not the fault of the mover.
All furniture shall be placed once at destination(s).
Mover must perform a physical survey of origin premises and inventory all merchandises to be moved. Merchandise to be moved shall be entered on a tally sheet, cube sheet or similar form, which shall become part of the binding estimate contract.Tally sheet, cube sheer, or similar form shall be signed by both shipper and mover.
All permits that relate to the merchandise being moved, origin/ destination premises shall be secured by the shipper.
All permits that related to the mover’s vehicle, equipment or personnel shall be secured by the mover.
All prepayment for the services including, but not limited to Elevator operator(s), utilities, security personnel or other building personnel shall be responsibility of the shipper.
Cancellation, or any charges, must be made at least 48 hours in advance of the major portion of the move which will be charged for all the mover’s applicable Tariff rate.
Shipper shall designate personnel who will be present at origin and destination during the actual move. Such personnel shall be authorized by shipper to make changes, should changes be necessary, during the actual move. It shipper does not designate such personnel or if such personnel is unavailable, mover will be empowered to take whatever action a reasonable mover would take.
THE MOVER BY SIGNATURE OF ITS REPRESENTATIVE, HEREBY ACCEPTS THE BINDING ESTIMATE AND AGREES TO PERFORM THE SERVICES OUTLINED HEREIN AND TO COMPLY WITH SUCH OTHER ARRANGEMENTS AS ARE SPECIFIED.
